I recently had the opportunity to meet and hang with the RoadRunner Bag guys and gals at their Los Angeles HQ where they (proudly) hand-make each bag. Needless to say, I was stoked on their production.
Upon arrival on a brutally hot and dry day in Los Angeles, I was met by Brad, the owner of RRB. We made our way up to the RoadRunner Bags HQ where I was greeted by three other employees grinding away and busting out orders, one by one. Brad took some time to introduce me to a portion of their team, and he showed me around the building. Once the formalities were out of the way, I began taking photos of their space. Imagine a greenhouse with a luscious garden…. and a full blown sewing setup with a ton of machines, fabrics, and bags, everywhere. Thats their HQ.
After spending some time in the shop, Brad and I took to the streets for some riding and shooting. I snapped some photos of their Salvaged Canvas Anything Pack and spoke with Brad about what his visions for RRB are. His biggest thing is that he doesn’t want cycling to be taken so seriously. Their bottom line is riding. A long as you have your bike and your stoke, that’s all that matters. No requirements of dressing up like a Power Ranger before you go ride… Just go ride.
RoadRunner Bags makes things that work – really well. Whether you’re busting fat whip-skids on your city’s steepest hill, or hucking airs with your CX bike off the jumps you made, their bags will work. Expect to see some RoadRunner Bags product reviews in the upcoming future.
